A New Generation of Tri-Fold Smartphones The Huawei Mate XT2 takes the traditional foldable concept one step further. Instead of folding once like a conventional book-style foldable, the Mate XT2 uses two folding points . This allows the device to transition between different screen configurations depending on what you’re doing. Keep it folded for everyday smartphone tasks, partially open it for larger-screen applications, or fully unfold it to access its expansive 10.2-inch display. It is effectively a smartphone, large-screen productivity device and compact tablet in one. 10.2-Inch OLED Display Open the Huawei Mate XT2 and experience a 10.2-inch OLED display designed to provide significantly more workspace than a conventional smartphone. The large screen is ideal for: Watching movies and videos Reading websites and documents Multitasking between applications Viewing presentations Browsing social media Editing documents Gaming Video calls Working while travelling When you need a more conventional smartphone experience, simply fold the device and use its approximately 6.5-inch external display . The external display supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz , delivering smooth scrolling and responsive interactions. Advanced Inward-Folding Design Huawei has redesigned the folding architecture of the Mate XT2 with an inward-folding hinge system . This approach helps protect the flexible display when the device is folded while creating a more refined form factor compared with earlier tri-fold designs. The result is a device engineered around both flexibility and everyday usability. For a tri-fold smartphone, hinge engineering is critical. The Mate XT2 therefore represents more than simply adding another fold to an existing smartphone design. Kirin 9050 Pro Performance At the heart of the Huawei Mate XT2 is the Kirin 9050 Pro chipset. Huawei’s in-house processor is designed to provide the performance required by a premium foldable device, including multitasking across the large display and demanding applications. Combined with configurations offering up to 16GB of RAM , the Mate XT2 is built for users who expect flagship-level performance. Whether you’re switching between applications, streaming content, browsing the web or working across multiple windows, the large display and powerful processor work together to create a more desktop-like mobile experience. Up to 2TB Storage The Huawei Mate XT2 can be configured with substantial internal storage, with reported options reaching 2TB . Large storage capacity is particularly useful on a foldable designed for media consumption and productivity.
