These terms are the rules for using PriceTeq (priceteq.com). By using the site you agree to them. They are written in plain English; if anything is unclear, ask us at [email protected].
Who we are
PriceTeq is a price-comparison website based in Beirut, Lebanon. Contact: [email protected].
What the site is, and what it is not
- We compare the prices that shops in Jordan publish on their own websites. We do not sell anything, we are not the seller, and we never handle your payment or delivery.
- Prices, stock and specifications are read from shop websites and can be out of date or wrong. Always confirm the price and the product with the shop before you pay.
- When you click through to a shop, you leave PriceTeq: the shop's own terms apply to anything you buy there.
- Prices are shown the way the shop lists them, with a note when VAT (16%) is added at checkout.
How ranking works
Offers are sorted by real price, cheapest first. Money never changes the order, a review, a score, or which shop is shown as cheapest. A paid Boost only adds a labelled placement and breaks an exact price tie; it can never put a dearer offer above a cheaper one. Ads, when shown, are labelled and kept apart from shop prices.
Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- One account per person. You can sign in with a link we email you, or with a password if you set one. Keep access to your email safe: it is the key to your account.
- You can delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected].
- We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, for example fake reviews, spam or abuse.
Your content: reviews, ratings, questions and polls
- What you post stays yours. By posting it you allow us to show it on PriceTeq and in search results.
- Post your own, honest experience. No fake or paid reviews, no abuse or hate, no spam or advertising links, and no one else's personal details.
- Moderators check reports and can remove content that breaks these rules. Content reported by several people may be hidden until a moderator decides.
- A receipt photo you attach to a review is seen only by our moderators, never by the public or the shop.
- Shops can post one public reply to a review. They cannot edit or remove it.
Volt, our AI shopping assistant
Volt's answers are written by an AI and can be wrong. Check prices and specifications on the product page and with the shop before deciding, and do not share personal details in the chat.
Price alerts and emails
A price alert emails you when a product's price drops, one email per drop. You confirm an alert from your inbox before it starts, and you can remove it from your account at any time.
For shops
- Listing is free. We show the prices and products a shop publishes on its own public website.
- Shop names, logos and product names belong to their owners. PriceTeq is not affiliated with or endorsed by the shops or brands it lists.
- A shop can claim its free dashboard. A claim link we email to the shop's published address opens the dashboard directly; other claims are checked by us.
- We may hide a shop whose prices are unreliable, or whose website stops answering, until it works again.
Corrections and removal requests
If you run a shop and a price, a product or your shop details are wrong on PriceTeq, or you want your shop removed, email [email protected] from the shop's own address (or tell us how to confirm it is you). We handle corrections and removal requests within 3 working days.
Paid plans for shops
Paid plans are not on sale in Jordan yet. Listing a shop is free. When plans open, their prices and rules will be on this page.
Refunds and cancellation
- Pro: cancel any time. You keep access until the end of the month you paid for. We do not refund part of a month.
- Boost: days that have not started yet are refunded.
- Mistakes: if we charged you by mistake, or twice, tell us within 14 days and we refund it in full.
- To cancel or ask for a refund, email [email protected].
Fair use
- Do not scrape or copy the site in bulk, run automated traffic or load tests against it, or try to get around its security.
- Do not use the site to send spam or to collect other people's data.
Our content
The design of PriceTeq, our price history, comparisons, guides and texts are ours. You may quote a reasonable part with a link back to the page. Product images and brand names belong to their owners.
No warranty, and limits
PriceTeq is provided as it is, without a guarantee that every price or detail is correct or that the site is always available. We are not responsible for what a shop sells, delivers or charges, or for a loss caused by relying on a price shown here. For a paid plan, our total responsibility is limited to what you paid us in the last 3 months. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have by law.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and paying shops get an email about important changes. These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon.
