For 8-hour desk work at 27 inches we recommend QHD instead — see the note on size and resolution below. A note on size and resolution The combination that causes the most complaints is 27 inches with Full HD . The price looks attractive, but at that size the pixels are far enough apart that text edges look grainy. Somebody who looks at it for eight hours feels that something is wrong without being able to say what. The pairings that work: 21.5″ – 24″ → Full HD 27″ → QHD (2560 x 1440) 32″ and above → QHD or 4K 34″ ultrawide → WQHD (3440 x 1440) 27-inch FHD still has its place — viewing distances longer than a desk, shop floors, signage-style use. For a desk somebody sits at all day, QHD is the one to buy.
